Assistant Professor of Education

Tatem Arts Center, Room 110A

I came to Hood in 2008 as an adjunct professor, after serving many years in public education, both as a teacher of science courses and as a central office and school administrator. I became the director of the educational leadership program in 2009; I also teach leadership and science methods courses for aspiring educators.

In 2012, I resigned my full-time position and returned to adjunct status, only to return in 2016 in a half-time position. Upon my return, I continued to teach the science methods courses for undergraduates and the graduate course in action research. During my time as an adjunct, I developed the Multidisciplinary Studies Master’s Program for the department and directed that program in 2016-17.
