ROTC at Hood

Hood College is pleased to partner with the McDaniel College Military Science Department and Mount St. Mary's University to offer the U.S. Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program.

Upon completion of the ROTC program at Hood, cadets are commissioned as Army officers with the rank of second lieutenant. Cadets can serve as Active Duty or in the Army Reserves or National Guard. Cadets are able to serve in a wide variety of fields, including aviation, medicine, finance, intelligence, communications, law enforcement, engineering, infantry and artillery.

The ROTC program offers two, three, and four year full-tuition scholarships and a monthly stipend with book money for qualifying cadets. Both freshmen and transfer students are eligible to apply for the ROTC program. For more details about applying to the ROTC program and what ROTC entails, contact Cpt.
