Important Dates

Hood College has modified the fall 2020 calendar, with the goal to reduce travel to and from campus, avoid large gatherings and thereby reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Residence Hall Move-In

Hood has expanded student move-in over several days, reducing congestion and encouraging physical distancing in residence halls. All students will be able to sign up for a move-in time in late July. As much as possible, students should limit the number of family and friends who help them move in.

AUG 17First day of classes for undergraduate and graduate students
SEPT 7All classes in session on Labor Day; offices open

Fall Break

Traditional fall break, originally scheduled for October 10-14, is canceled. All classes will be in session during that time.

Fall Family Weekend & Homecoming

Look for details about some virtual fun for Family Weekend and Homecoming, October 2-4.

End of Semester & Exams

The final exam schedule is still under development and will be announced once the semester begins.

NOV 20Undergraduate classes end at 4 p.m.; undergraduate exams begin at 5 p.m.
NOV 24Final exams end
NOV 25Undergraduate make-up final exams; last day of graduate classes
