Hood Parade of Flags

International Education Week

Hood College is proud to observe and celebrate International Education Week virtually during the week of November 16 - 20, 2020. We encourage all Hood students, faculty and staff to participate in our week of virtual events!

International Education Week (IEW), November 16-20, 2020, is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.

This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of a national effort to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.

Hood International Education Week
Nov 16 - 20, 2020

The Graduate School at Hood College, in collaboration with other campus offices, is planning a week-long virtual celebration of International Education Week (IEW) this November 16-20, 2020.  As you may know, IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education.  If you were at Hood last fall, you may have participated in our amazing week of celebrations, which we kicked off with our Parade of Flags.

Unfortunately, we are constrained by physical distancing this fall, so our week-long celebration will be carried out virtually. For those on-campus, enjoy our colorful international flag display around the Whitaker atrium staircase during the IEW week.
