Summer Session 2022- Free Course for New Undergraduates

Hood College is excited to offer one course to all new first-year and transfer undergraduate students in either Summer session I or Summer session II 2022 at no charge. Use this opportunity to complete required developmental coursework or get a head start on your enrollment. See below for details of the courses and other information.

Registration & Fees:

  • Summer registration deadline for students enrolling in a free course: 
    • Thursday, May 19 at 5:00pm for Summer I (classes begin Monday, May 23) 
    • Thursday, June 30 at 5:00pm for Summer II (classes begin July 5)
  • New first-year and transfer students will not be charged tuition for the credits, but will need to pay for books or other required materials as directed by the instructor.

Registration Instructions and Questions

To enroll in a class, email the Student Success Center at studentsuccess@hood.edu. An advisor will help you select an appropriate class for your educational plans; placement testing may be required.

This opportunity is open to all new students who have submitted their enrollment deposit. If you have not already submitted your enrollment deposit, please do so here. You must submit your deposit before you can register for this free class. 

New students who enroll in a free course during summer 2022 and do not subsequently enroll in the fall 2022 term will be responsible for the cost of the course.
