New Kiln Gets Fired Up

Kiln 3Kiln 2

On September 15, graduate students Jenna Gianna and Marcus Davis along with undergrad Janet Greer unloaded work they fired over the weekend in one of the Ceramics program’s newly constructed reduction kilns. This type of firing uses gas to achieve a beautifully varied surface. Jenna and Janet, leaders of the Ceramic Arts Fellowship, plan many more firings over the course of the semester. Interested in participating in or attending a firing or unloading? Meet them on Thursday evenings at 7 pm in Tatem Hall, Room 1 (basement level).
