Biography
I am a researcher, writer, and educator specializing in Latin American and Chicanx literature, with a particular focus on transnational mobility, gender-based violence, and the digital humanities. My career blends academic scholarship with a creative practice that integrates poetry, narrative, and multimedia projects.
My current research project, Ajuarear Juárez: Archivo fotográfico, sonoro y textual de la frontera, examines the intersection of memory, violence, and archival work through visual and sound materials from the U.S.-Mexico border. In addition to my research, I have coordinated and edited numerous volumes on Latin American literature, film, and history, with a strong interest in transdisciplinary approaches.
As an educator, I have integrated the use of technologies, such as IIIF, into the classroom, and designed motivating and respectful learning environments. My experience ranges from Spanish language and culture courses to graduate-level seminars in literature and creative writing workshops.
