My teaching expertise includes Physical chemistry, Material chemistry, and General chemistry. Prior to joining Hood College, I have taught a variety of chemistry courses such as general chemistry, physical chemistry, food chemistry, and horticulture chemistry.

My research interest involves conducting surface chemistry related experiments on 2D-materials (such as graphene, silica), thin films, and oxide-supported metal nanoclusters by utilizing sophisticated scientific instruments such as X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy, X-ray Diffraction, Auger electron spectroscopy, Low energy electron diffraction, Scanning electron microscope etc. Graphene related chemistry, Bond activation in alkanes, Identification of active sites, and Hydrodesulfurization reactions are few topics of research interest.
