What brought you to Hood College?

I relocated from Pennsylvania to Maryland and wanted to teach at a small school with a rich history and community connections.

What do you value most about your relationship with students?

How different each of them are and their passion for learning and serving.

Describe your approach to teaching.

I believe strongly in experiential learning in the community.

What is your most memorable moment at Hood?

Teaching my first class of new students entering the nursing program (now class of 2019)!

Describe your academic interests, research, professional interests or expertise.

Community health nursing practice and prevention of chronic disease (especially Million Hearts!)

When you aren’t teaching, what are you passionate about?

Reading, writing, music, traveling
