Biography
At Hood, I’ve merged the two passions that first sent me on to graduate study: fiction writing and American literature. I advise Hood’s literary and arts magazine, Wisteria, and also coordinate the Studies in Women and Gender minor.
While I have published scholarship on violence in American women’s writing, my focus now is on fiction, with work published in Glimmer Train, Adirondack Review, Blunderbuss, and Passager, among other magazines.
I'm currently completing a second novel, and as a working writer, am serious about guiding my students through the drafting, crafting, revising, submitting, and—yes—rejection-handling stages of the writing life.
