Biography

My creative practice and teaching revolve mainly around painting, drawing, and printmaking. I have taught all manner of 2-dimensional art processes--including painting, drawing, printmaking, and design--as well as theory and capstone courses. As a practicing artist, I exhibit my work extensively, both domestically and internationally, and have also been the recipient of many awards and recognitions. Currently, I am working on a body of figurative paintings and drawings exploring how contextual cues influence the perception of meaning and significance in an artwork.
