Training

Hood College requires all students to complete important online training to comply with federal requirements regarding the prevention of sexual assault. In line with best practices, we require undergraduate students to complete alcohol education training.

This online education will empower you to make well-informed decisions about issues that affect your time here and beyond. Because it is vital you are properly trained, and to ensure compliance, failure to complete the courses by their deadlines will result in a hold on your student account (preventing course registration, ordering transcripts, etc.).

Each course has two parts. Thirty days after completing part one, you will be able to complete part two. You will receive an email reminder when it is time to do part two, and you will then need to return to this website to log into the course.

  • You will need Internet access and audio capabilities.
  • To avoid technical issues, please use any major web browser (e.g., Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome) released within the previous two years.
  • You may take the course in multiple sittings.
  • The course may include surveys to help personalize your experience and measure students’ attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are confidential; the school will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will never see individual students’ answers.
  • Should you experience problems, technical support is available 24/7 and can be accessed from the “Help” link within the course.
  • However, if you have difficulties logging into the Self Service website and/or need assistance with your Hood College username/password, contact Hood College HelpDesk at helpdesk@hood.edu or call 301-696-3622 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
