The Graduate School at Hood College presented the 2019 Gary Corsar Outstanding Information Technology Student Award to Junyan Huang, current graduate student in Hood College's Information Technology program. This award is funded by Gary Corsar.

Junyan is currently working as a data scientist with the Strategy and Business Development division in the United States Pharmacopeia. Her team performs centralized analytics functions - supporting all levels of the organization including the Executive Team.  As a member of the Hood Cyber Blazers Team, she has competed and placed in the top 10 in several hacking competitions. As a student, she assisted in a project at Frederick Memorial Hospital that analyzed possible cure pathways for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.  She was also a competitor in the 2017 3MT competition.
