Annual "Holidays at Hood" Concert Returns to Coffman Chapel November 23
Annual multi-faith concert and celebration of light to feature multiple Hood student music groups
Hood College is hosting the annual "Holidays at Hood" concert, a multi-faith concert and celebration of light, on Sunday, November 23 in the Coffman Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public, and tickets are not required. Doors will open at 7:00 a.m., and musical prelude performed by Wayne L. Wold, DMA will begin at 7:15 p.m.
Respecting the traditions of Hood’s diverse and inclusive campus population, this event will include both sacred elements (portions of Messiah, Christmas carols, and stories and songs from other faith traditions) and secular elements that celebrate winter, light, justice and peace.
The concert will feature performances from multiple Hood student music groups, including the the Wind and String Ensemble; readings by students; and audience sing-alongs.
