Mixed-Media Sculpture Exhibit
Jan. 12 through Feb. 16
FREDERICK, Maryland—A ceramics and mixed-media sculpture exhibit by artist Janet Street will be on display in Hood College’s Whitaker Campus Center Gallery Jan. 12 through Feb. 16.
Her show, called “Connections,” uses media including ceramics and paint to express the connections she sees between humans and animals, and her work represents her curiosity about the links and similarities between species. She layers paint to change the feeling of the work as her imagination changes the story she wants to tell.
Street lives in Philadelphia where she is involved in the sculpture community at The Clay Studio.
Hood’s Whitaker Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The reception will be held Jan. 14 from 3 to 5 p.m.
