The Vagina Monologues

FREDERICK, Maryland—Hood College will present “The Vagina Monologues” on Feb. 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. in Hodson Auditorium in Rosenstock Hall.

The Vagina Monologues is a celebration of the female body and female empowerment. A theatrical production, it was originally written by Eve Ensler as a result of interviews with a diverse group of more than 200 women.

The event will include a donation drive for feminine hygiene products and a raffle. Admission is free for Hood students, and it is $5 for faculty, staff and guests. All proceeds will benefit the Heartly House, the only organization in Frederick County that provides comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.

The event is sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Feminist Student Union. For more information, contact Catherine Vasko at cav6@hood.edu.
