I am a critical care nurse at heart with more than 20 years experience. I transitioned to academia to help the next generation of nurses to remember our roots of caring, hope, and excellence in science. I teach a variety of courses including pathophysiology and pharmacology, critical care, research, leadership, and prep courses for national licensure. My passion is to ensure a diverse and inclusive environment not only in the classroom but in my beloved profession.

My research interests include, hope, caring, the heart failure population, and success of nursing students in the post-pandemic era.
