Biography
Professor Thompson is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and public health professional with nearly a decade of experience spanning clinical nutrition, community health, and higher education. Her academic and professional interests include health education, food security, program evaluation, and advancing health equity through evidence-based public health nutrition practices. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of New England, completed an individualized Dietetic Internship at Pepperdine University, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Food Administration from California State University, Long Beach. Professor Thompson lives in Frederick, MD with her husband, daughter, and rescue dog. She enjoys gardening, cooking, boxing, and trips to the beach.
