This award is funded by Suzanne Smith in honor of her husband Christopher H. Smith, an Environmental Biology graduate in 1995.

Katlyn completed an internship with Belle Prairie Farm in Big Pool Maryland. During her internship, she performed a research project on the comparison of soil moisture between various irrigation systems. She was recently invited to the Hood College chapter of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and was a competitor in this year’s 3MT competition.

Congratulations Katlyn - we wish her all the best in her future endeavors!
