Daily Record Names President Debbie Ricker, Ph.D., to Maryland Top 500 List

Hood College is proud to announce that President Debbie Ricker, Ph.D., has been named to The Daily Record’s 2026 MD 500 list, a comprehensive listing of Maryland’s most influential leaders.

President Ricker was selected for her leadership in higher education, specifically for her work in launching undergraduate programs in public health, sustainability studies, art therapy and finance, as well as a graduate cybersecurity program. She also created the Office of Student Success, which helped drive record first-year retention and graduation rates.
