DC, Maryland, Virginia: Hotbeds for Cybersecurity Jobs

Recent news stories have cited cybersecurity as one of the fastest growing job categories in the nation. A February report by Burning Glass Technologies said that in 2013 the Washington metropolitan area had 23,000+ cybersecurity job postings, far more than any other region including the Silicon Valley. Virginia ranked second and Maryland sixth among states. Cybersecurity jobs are not only in demand in the federal government and contracting industry; they pay more, too.
