Susan Erb Receives the Marilyn Brown Professional Excellence Award

Susan Erb, a long-serving member of the Hood College Office of Financial Aid, has been awarded the Marilyn Brown Professional Excellence Award by the Tri-State Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. The award was presented on October 28, 2025, at the Tri-State annual conference in Hanover, MD.

 

 

Established in 1990, the award honors the legacy of Marilyn Brown, a financial aid administrator remembered for her deep commitment to students and her ability to support them through complex and challenging situations. The award recognizes financial aid professionals who demonstrate exceptional compassion, professional ethics, and dedication to ensuring access to education.

 

Susan has dedicated 25 years of service to Hood College, supporting students and families through every step of the financial aid process. Her knowledge, patience, and genuine care have helped countless students persist and graduate. Her work reflects Hood College's mission of access, belonging, and student success.
