Third Annual Walk Strong Fundraiser to Benefit Frederick Rescue Mission

FREDERICK, Maryland—Hood College will hold the third annual Walk Strong fundraiser to benefit the Frederick Rescue Mission on Sept. 27 at 12:45 p.m., starting on the steps of Alumnae Hall. The course this year will begin at Hood College and end at the Frederick Rescue Mission.

To register for the walk, contact Bre Harwood at 301-696-3751 or harwood@hood.

The money raised will go directly toward the Frederick Rescue Mission to help with its food distribution center and faith house. Participants are not required to donate money to participate in the walk, but there are thank-you gifts for those who donate, including wristbands, sunglasses and T-shirts, depending on the amount.

The Frederick Rescue Mission provides food and clothing to those who need the most help from their communities. It also provides resources for people overcoming drug and alcohol addictions, and it supports homeless people in their efforts to find housing.
