Biography

I’m a marine biologist and oceanographer by training, and much of my teaching and research focuses on aquatic organisms and ecosystems. Research experiences are a really important part of an undergraduate education in biology and I enjoy working with students on research projects that span from invasive species ecology in local rivers to the thermal biology of lobster larvae in the Gulf of Maine.

My passion for the ocean extends to my recreational time and I enjoy SCUBA diving, swimming and underwater photography.
