Hood Million Hearts

Toll House 102

As a registered nurse and board-certified advanced public health nurse, my nursing practice has been in community/public health and with older adults in a variety of settings.  My interests are in prevention and management of chronic disease in the community. I connect Hood nursing students with community nursing experiences with the help of our partners at Frederick Health, the Frederick County Health Department and the YMCA of Frederick County.

I am Past-President of the Association of Public Health Nurses and currently serve as liaison to the Million Hearts® Collaboration. Locally, I serve as a Board Member of the Maryland Nurses Association.  I lead Hood Million Hearts, which aims to prevent cardiovascular disease at Hood College and in the greater Frederick community.
