Biography
I am a registered nurse and board-certified advanced public health nurse. My nursing practice has been with older adults in a variety of settings and in community/public health. At Hood, I work to connect students with experiences in the community and we are actively involved with projects at the Frederick County Health Department, YMCA and Frederick Health Hospital. I am President-Elect for the Association of Public Health Nurses where I have worked with the national Million Hearts initiative. I currently lead Hood Million Hearts that aims to prevent heart disease in the Hood College and greater Frederick community.
