Hood College to Host Virtual Workshops on Career Readiness, Financial Aid
Free summer workshop series for Hood students, alumni and families

The Center for Career Development and Experiential Education along with the Office of Financial Aid at Hood College are offering a series of virtual workshops focused on career readiness and financial aid this summer.
The career readiness workshops will be led by Lisa Littlefield, Ph.D., dean of career development and experiential learning, and Christopher Currens, DOL’21, founder of Currens & Associates and an alumnus of the College. The financial aid workshops will be led by De Rodrick Jonkins, director of financial aid, and will include several guest speakers.
Featuring topics such as job interviews, resume writing, student loans and work-study opportunities, the workshops will offer ample opportunities for current Hood students, alumni and families to learn the basics of paying for college and preparing for careers post-graduation.
While the career readiness workshops will appeal to the broader community—including displaced federal workers—the financial aid workshops are designed for new and prospective Hood students and their families.
