Tutoring Services

Do you need assistance in a specific subject?

Undergraduate peer tutoring is offered to Hood students free of charge and is available in many different subject areas across campus including psychology, chemistry, biology, nursing, French, Spanish, mathematics, computer science, and history.  Peer tutoring is conducted in the Tutoring Center adjacent to the Student Success Center found on the first floor of the Beneficial-Hodson Library and Learning Commons.

Students are encouraged to make peer tutoring appointments or access online tutoring throughout the semester. Appointments for peer tutoring can be made through the Navigate App by going to "schedule appointments," selecting "academic support, and "selecting "papers/citations" for writing support or "course based tutoring."

Every undergraduate and graduate student at Hood also has access to 10 hours of free, online professional tutoring each semester through Thinking Storm, a service that is available 7 days a week.
