Pillar Talks

Pillar Talks Logo New Student Conversations
Pillar Talks is a four-part series of small group conversations offered each fall for new first-year and transfer students. The series is designed to help the newest members of the Hood Community to connect with and learn about other students; learn important concepts rooted in the College’s core values of Hope, Opportunity, Obligation and Democracy; and apply lessons learned to foster mutuality and respect on campus and beyond.

The conversations are co-facilitated by Peer Mentors and faculty and staff members trained by the Vice President for Community and Inclusivity and the Director of Inclusive Excellence.
