I chose to come to Hood College because of the welcoming environment I experienced when I toured the beautiful campus. I stepped foot into Whitaker Campus Center and immediately felt at home. While I may only be two hours away from my home in Pennsylvania, I was able to settle into campus quickly and meet so many amazing people. The location of campus also allows for fun, inexpensive and convenient trips to DC, Baltimore and Annapolis with friends or for personal projects. Hood also offers many opportunities on campus and in the Frederick area for me to grow a phenomenal portfolio through my academics.

Athletics

Hood is home to 22 NCAA division III sports teams. Our Blazers compete in the Mid-Atlantic Commonwealth (MAC) Conference.

Merit Scholarships

Hood College offers a wide range of scholarships and awards, and 100% percent of our students receive some form of merit-based aid. All incoming students--freshmen and transfers--are automatically considered for these scholarships, so you don't need to worry about filling out any additional applications!
