Legacy

A tradition that began under President Chapdelaine, graduates who are legacies are recognized when they cross the stage and are met by their family member at the bottom of the stage.

If you and a family member are being recognized as legacies, please find a legacy volunteer, marked with a name tag, prior to Commencement. These volunteers will assist your relative to a seat near the front of the stage.

Only your legacy being recognized will be seated at the front. Please have all other family members find seats in an area that is not already reserved.

After you receive your diploma, your legacy will greet you at the bottom of the stage. Please walk with your legacy to the designated area for photos. After you take a photo, please return to your seat until the end of the ceremony.
