IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squads and Honor Roll Announced

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - The Hood College women's lacrosse team was honored as an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad team, while Mariah JonesNikki Lunn and Lillie Myers were recognized as part of the IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll.

The Blazers repeated the team honor for the second straight year and Myers earned her second nod on the honor roll. 

The IWLCA named 312 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squads for the 2018-19 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year. The Blazers were one of six teams in the MAC Commonwealth to earn the honor along with Alvernia, Lebanon Valley, Lycoming, Messiah and Stevenson.

The IWLCA honored 650 student-athletes from 172 different NCAA Division III institutions with inclusion in the IWLCA/Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
