Registrar Office Staff

Katie Grocki is the Registrar at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland. In her role, Katie provides leadership and supervision for the Registrar’s Office and team, manages the class schedule, undergraduate curriculum changes, the college catalog, and the academic calendar She also develops academic policies with the Committee on Academic Standards and Policies, assigns academic standing for undergraduate students, and fulfills audit, assessment, and reporting needs for the office. Katie’s career in higher education began in 2010 at Montgomery College where she served as a Course Scheduling Assistant. She also served as an Enrollment Services Specialist and the Germantown Campus Registrar at MC before starting at Hood as the Registrar in May 2022. Katie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Studies with a concentration in Organizational Administration and a Minor in Nonprofit Studies from George Mason University. She also earned her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from University of Maryland College Park. Katie enjoys going on long walks, hiking, and exercising! Her passion is mental health advocacy, and she has previously served on the Board of EveryMind.

Buckley

Sarah Buckley is the Student Records Coordinator of the Registrar’s Office. Her role is to maintain student transcripts by processing new student records, awarding transfer and non-traditional credit, processing grade changes and incomplete grades, entering course exemptions, and facilitating the course registration process for students. She is also responsible for analyzing student eligibility for honor societies across campus. Her role in the Registrar’s Office at Hood began in 2023, but Sarah has been on Hood’s campus for much longer. She graduated with her degree in Business Administration from Hood in 2023 and is now working on her Master of Business Administration. Sarah is a legacy student and has participated in the Hood College Wind Ensemble since 2016. Besides playing clarinet, Sarah enjoys reading, being in nature, and spending time with her cat, Quota.

Traci

As the Associate Registrar for Graduate Studies, Traci supports our graduate student population with enrollment, advising, retention, degree progression and degree completion. In addition, Traci provides support to academic departments in managing program curricula, schedule development and manages graduate policies and procedures. Traci began working at Hood in 2002 and aside from her current position in the registrar’s office, she has worked in undergraduate admissions and the graduate school. In her time at Hood, Traci has participated in and led various committees, including serving as the chair of the Staff Council By-Laws committee, the vice-chair of the inaugural Staff Council in its first two years, and Middle States Reaccreditation Committee, to name a few. As a first generation student, Traci finished her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Hood College in 2007 while working full-time and went on to complete her master of arts degree in human sciences in 2010. As a natural problem solver, in her spare time, Traci loves a good murder mystery, playing card and board games, and solving crossword/jigsaw puzzles. She values spending time with family above all else.

Kelsey

Kelsey Stottlemyer is the Assistant Registrar for Undergraduate Studies here at Hood. In her role, Kelsey works mainly with transfer students and graduating seniors. She helps evaluate transfer courses along with faculty and works to make sure students have completed everything they need in order to earn their degrees. Kelsey began her career at Hood in the Registrar’s Office in November 2015. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Film and Media Studies from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in May 2013 and earned her Master of Arts in Humanities degree from Hood in January 2022. In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys doing trivia with her husband, Jesse, playing with her cats, Mylo and Midge, and is an avid reader and photographer.
