The most valuable things about my appointment were...

  • I got support for writing my resume and cover letter and I learned a lot! I got useful ideas of possible job titles to look for and a variety of websites that could help me.
  • My appointment was for creating a specific resume for an internship that I am applying for. My counselor walked me through how to build my resume and showed me how to improve my application as well as other great resources for searching for internships and jobs.
  • They really helped me in exploring my post-grad options. Having someone who has been in my position listen to my concerns and struggles made me feel much better and I no longer feel like I am behind.
  • I really appreciated all the time and information my counselor gave me. I am so grateful to have this service available and for all of this help. The expertise is evident!
  • I had a great conversation with my counselor and received the help I needed. I will be back!
  • My counselor was great! She was super knowledgeable and very helpful from our first meeting. I feel more prepared to find an internship and have a well composed idea of opportunities beyond Hood College!

"I've gained valuable hands-on experience in clinical practice and have built strong connections with the staff. This internship goes beyond just completing tasks - Insight Therapy and Wellness prioritizes providing meaningful learning opportunities. They ensure interns gain practical knowledge of the clinical field by facilitating connections with clinicians and engaging with clients." - Serene Henry '25, intern with Insight Therapy and Wellness

"This internship has allowed me to strengthen my communication skills and confidence working the both the art and history fields. Apple's second wife's wedding lace from 1898." - Ella Rosenberg '26, intern with Hood College Archives

"I was interested in this internship to get more experience in social media marketing for a company that provides services, rather than start-ups or apps. This internship has definitely made me feel a lot more confident in my own skills and professionalism." - Leila Ali '26, intern with Lindsey Wigfield & Company

"This internship has already prepared me and assisted me in getting into the John's Hopkins AAP, AM in Musem Studies. I also hope it will continue to build my knowledge of gallery operations and help me make more connections." - Ashley Visscher '25, intern with Hodson and Whitaker Art Galleries

"Heather has been so reliable and trust-worthy that we have been able to elevate her responsibilities to working with patient health information, including verifying benefits and following up on insurance claims.
