Enrollment and Degree Verifications

Hood College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide degree and enrollment verification.

Transcript Requests

TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS

Students can access unofficial transcripts through Self Service, by clicking the Grades tab, then the link for "Unofficial Transcript".  The Registrar's Office can print an unofficial transcript copy for in-person requests by students, for a fee of $1.00 (exact change).  For security reasons, Hood College does not email, fax or submit unofficial transcripts electronically.

Transcript ordering is provided through the National Student Clearinghouse, a nonprofit organization serving the higher education community. 

Transcript ordering allows you to order official transcripts (paper and electronic .pdf) via the Web at any time, 24/7. Whenever you order a transcript, you will receive real-time order updates by email and can request to receive instant mobile text alerts. You can also track your order on the Transcript Ordering Web site.

What you will need:

  • A credit card. Your card will only be charged after your order has been completed.
  • The name and address of the recipient.
  • Electronic transcript requests require the email address of the recipient
    • Verify that the transcript recipient accepts electronic transcripts
    • An electronic transcript may be sent directly to the final recipient or sent to you for uploading

***Please note we are unable to process requests for students with a financial aid, library, graduate sexual assault prevention training and/or accounting hold placed on the transcript. Please resolve the hold with the applicable department before placing a transcript order.

TRANSCRIPT ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS

All transcript orders may be placed via Self-Service (no log-in necessary) or National Student Clearinghouse.

If ordering through Self-Service:

  • Select Request eTranscript link
  • Follow instructions for paper or electronic delivery

Please note that all transcript orders are placed through a secure third-party, the National Student Clearinghouse. If you have questions regarding your order, please contact the National Student Clearinghouse Help Desk: (703) 742-4200.

ELECTRONIC TRANSCRIPTS

A transcript delivered by electronic PDF may be uploaded electronically to a third-party. When printed, the transcript will note “COPY” and may not be accepted as an original. Please verify that the transcript recipient accepts electronic transcripts prior to ordering. 

Electronic PDF requests: $5.50 per copy. Typically processed within the same business day upon receipt of request. Slight delays may occur during peak times such as the start/end of the semester. 

PAPER TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS (Mailed)

Normal mailed requests: $2.00 per copy (plus $2.50 NSCL processing fee per address plus shipping & handling $1.80). Typically processed within two business days upon receipt of request. Slight delays may occur during peak times such as the start/end of the semester.  

Express mailed requests: Typically shipped within one business day.  In addition to the fees associated with normal mailed requests there is an extra fee based on destination country. 

Express/United States: $39.00

Express/Canada & Mexico: $59.00

Express/International: $75.00

PAPER TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS (For Pick-up at Hood College)

Normal hold for pick-up requests: $2.00 per copy (plus $2.50 NSCL processing fee). Typically processed within three to five business days. Slight delays may occur during peak times such as the start/end of the semester.
