Monday, February 6

HIV Screening with the Frederick County Health Department
1-3 p.m. | Beneficial-Hodson Library and Learning Commons

Did you know that teens and young adults account for 20 percent of all new HIV cases? Did you know that HIV is fully treatable? Or that there’s a medication called PrEP that reduces your chances of contracting HIV? Stop by the library and learning commons café to receive a free HIV screening test, learn about PrEP, pick up complimentary safe sex supplies and get information about free, at-home testing for other STIs.

Join alumni Jennifer Keilholtz, M.S.’20, for this presentation that explores our beliefs and understanding of sexuality. What beliefs should we keep? Which should we throw out? Participate in a contextualized sexuality model and personal exercise. We will discuss ways to communicate what we learn and need sexually from partners and common obstacles in communication around sex.
