Registration Instructions & Questions
First-year students and transfer students
To enroll in a winter, summer I or summer II class, please respond to the email sent by the admissions office or email the registrar's office at registrar@hood.edu, and they will help you select an appropriate class for your educational plans; placement testing may be required.
This opportunity is open to all new students who have submitted their enrollment deposit. If you have not already submitted your enrollment deposit, please do so here. You must submit your deposit before you can register for this free class.
New students who enroll in a free course during summer 2025 and do not subsequently enroll in the subsequent Spring or Fall term will be responsible for the cost of the course.
If a student does not successfully complete the course or the student withdraws from the course, it will affect the satisfactory academic progress (SAP) and academic standing going into the fall semester. To learn more about SAP contact finaid@hood.edu. Given the short Winter and Summer terms and the accelerated nature of the coursework, students should consider whether this option is an appropriate option.
