Coblentz Hall

Coblentz Hall is named in honor of Emory Coblentz, a dedicated former member of the Hood College Board of Trustees whose six children attended Hood College. Located on the north side of campus, Coblentz Hall is home to residents across three co-educational residential floors, fostering a vibrant and welcoming community.

Residents enjoy a variety of amenities designed to support both academics and student life, including two comfortable lounge spaces, an open concept kitchen, and complimentary laundry facilities.

The hall features two comfortable lounge spaces, complimentary laundry facilities, and convenient access to the Coblentz Dining Hall, located on the first floor and easily accessible by both elevator and stairs. On the ground floor, students have access to the eSports Arena and the Dreiling Seminar Room, a versatile space that hosts classes, campus events, meetings, and educational programs throughout the academic year. Together, these amenities make Coblentz Hall a convenient, engaging, and connected place to call home.

Double Rooms

Coblentz Hall's traditional double rooms measure approximately 11 feet by 16 feet and are designed to comfortably accommodate two residents. Each room includes:

Window air-conditioning unit
Two bed frames and mattresses
Two desks
Two three-drawer dressers
Two wardrobes/closets

When a dresser is placed beneath the bed, the available under-bed storage space is approximately 40 inches wide × 30 inches high × 34 inches deep.

Single Rooms

Single rooms offer a more private living experience and are located within the second-floor "horseshoe" area or on the fourth floor. Single rooms are approximately half the size of a double room and include one set of standard room furnishings:

Some single rooms also include an in-room sink
