Policies

At Hood College, every student plays a role in creating an environment where individuals feel valued, supported, and accountable for their actions.

Our student conduct process is designed to promote fairness, encourage personal growth, and uphold the standards that guide our community. These expectations apply to all students—undergraduate and graduate, residential and commuter—both inside and outside the classroom, as outlined in College policies.

The associate director of Residence Life, in collaboration with the dean of students and provost, helps oversee the resolution of alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct, Academic Honor Code, housing contract, housing policies, and other applicable College policies.

Academic Honor Code

Honesty and integrity are at the heart of the Hood College experience. As members of a community built on trust and mutual respect, students are expected to uphold the highest standards of academic honesty in their coursework and other academic activities.

Living these values means taking responsibility for your work, respecting the intellectual contributions of others, and making choices that reflect the principles of the Academic Honor Code. Faculty and staff are available to help students understand these expectations and navigate questions about academic integrity.
