Accepted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to Hood College!

Next steps for freshmen:

  1. Submit your enrollment deposit to secure your place in the Hood College Class of 2023! National Decision Day is May 1, so be sure to submit your deposit before that date. If you're planning to live on campus, this deposit also secures your place in our residence halls. For more information about campus housing, click here.
  2. Once you submit your deposit, you will receive a letter in the mail that contains login information for your Hood College email account. Set this up right away - this is how we will communicate with you from now on!
  3. In the spring, you will receive the "first-year registration questionnaire" in your Hood College inbox. Fill this out as soon as you can - this is the first step in the class registration process.
  4. After you fill out your questionnaire, you can begin taking placement tests to determine what courses you'll take at Hood.
  5. You will be contacted by CAAR to discuss the results of your placement tests - during this call, you'll be able to register for a summer orientation date!
  6. Submit a request to your high school to have your final transcripts delivered to Hood.
  7. Submit a request to College Board to have your AP test scores delivered to Hood. If you've taken the SAT or ACT, submit those scores as well! SAT and ACT scores will not affect your admission decision or scholarships, but they are required for reporting purposes.
  8. Attend summer orientation, and get to know other members of your class!
  9. Attend fall orientation in August - this is the official beginning of your time as a Hood Blazer. Congratulations!
