April 14-15 are Hood's 2026 Scholarship Days!

During this exciting 36 hours*, donors participate with gifts to the College to ensure opportunities for every Hood student through unrestricted scholarships and financial aid. Their academic studies are enhanced through the generosity of hundreds of individuals to the College’s Hood Fund.

*Scholarship Days begin at noon on April 14 and will conclude at midnight on April 15.

Battle of the Decade Challenge: the decade with the most participants gets all the bragging rights!

Join more than 25 challengers from all alumni decades (1950s to 2020s) and beyond (parents, friends, staff) with their leading participation in more than $26,000 in challenge gifts during 9 POWER HOURS throughout the two days, to reach a goal of 320 donors when you make a contribution, directly supporting Hood students and the campus. Of course, all gifts received between noon on the 14th and midnight on the 15th will count towards your decade as part of the Battle.

Decade challenger Virginia Turnbull Hecklinger '56 challenges 36 alumnae to participate during the 50s power hour, unlocking a challenge gift of $3,000.

The 50s Power Hour will take place from 8-9am on April 15.

Decade challengers, Anne Volpe Gallentine '61, Vivian B. Harvey '61, and Virginia "Ginny" Wheeler Jones '66 challenge 36 alumnae to participate during their power hour, unlocking a combined challenge gift of $3,000.

The 60s Power Hour will take place from 4-5pm on April 14.

Decade challengers, Mary McMunigal Burland '71 and Joan Gillece '76 challenge 36 alumni to participate during their power hour, unlocking a challenge gift of $1,200.

The 70s Power Hour will take place from 11-12noon on April 15.

Decade challengers, Hope Bober Corrigan '81, Alison Drum Althouse '86, P'12, and Angela Corio '86 challenge 36 alumni to participate during their power hour, unlocking a combined challenge gift of $7,000.

The 80s Power Hour will take place from 9-10pm on April 15.

Decade challengers, Michelle Wargo Hill '91, Vivian Laxton '91,Tanya Sander-Marks '96 and Jewel Smith '96 challenge 36 alumni to participate during their power hour, unlocking a combined challenge gift of $3,700.

The 90s Power Hour will take place from 1-2pm on April 14.

Decade challengers, Amanda Reinken '06 and Sharia Barksdale '06 challenge 36 alumni to participate during their power hour, unlocking a combined challenge gift of $300.

The 00s Power Hour will take place from 2-3pm on April 15.

Decade challengers, Abby Dyjack '11, M.A. '13, C'12 and Lydia Emory '16 challenge 36 alumni to participate during their power hour, unlocking a combined challenge gift of $300.

The 10s Power Hour will take place from 10-11pm on April 14.

Decade challenger, Elena Rowe '21, Sofia Montoya-Deck '26 and Kate Weir '26 challenge 36 alumni (and students) to participate during the 20s power hour, unlocking a challenge gift of $140.52.

The 20s Power Hour will take place from 7-8pm on April 14.

& Beyond Challengers, Leslye E. Wooley '94, P'28 & Derek Willis P'28 and Michael & Kittybelle Hosford challenge 36 friends (non-alumni) of the College to participate during the & Beyond power hour, unlocking $6,175.

The & Beyond Power Hour will take place from 6-7pm on April 15.

Hood employees Sonia Bowie, Susan Ensel,Rev. Beth O'Malley, and Summer Riddle challenge 45 employees to participate with a gift during the 36 hours to unlock a combined challenge gift of $1,460.
