Emily Savona '21

As a student, Emily Savona was a two-sport athlete, playing both soccer and lacrosse, while maintaining the rigorous academic standing required of an Honors Program student. She was inducted into both the Ionic and Mortar Board honor societies and graduated magna cum laude in 2021.

After graduating from Hood with a degree in integrated marketing communication, she took on the role of director of soccer operations at North Dakota State University in Fargo. After earning her master’s degree in physical education from NDSU, Emily became Director of Operations for Soccer and Lacrosse at the University of Oregon. In 2025, Emily was recruited by the professional women’s soccer team, Carolina Ascent as their Team Operations Director.

Despite her whirlwind career "ascent," Emily has found time to stay in touch with her former coaches and give back by inviting current students to visit and learn more about collegiate and professional sports.
