VP for Marketing & Communications

The vice president for marketing and communications collaboratively develops, implements and sustains a comprehensive and integrated brand identity and marketing strategy for the College in order to drive enrollment, increase alumni engagement, and expand and enhance the College’s reputation and external support.

Reporting directly to the president and serving as a member of the senior team, the vice president functions as the principal advisor on all communications-related matters and is the ambassador and steward of all marketing and public relations strategies. This position serves as the administrative head of the marketing and communications office and in that role establishes, implements and assesses annual goals and strategies as driven by the College’s communications and strategic plan; oversees and supports the office’s personnel; and administers the budget, processes and policies of the office.

The Office of Marketing and Communications also includes:

  • Conference and Events Services provides a full range of meeting and event services to internal and external clients, with a wide variety of reasonably priced facilities and superb services for any event.
  • Print and Mail Services assists in the production of Hood College-sponsored communications, which inform, engage and connect the broader Hood community in support of the College’s mission. We also extend our services to students, employees, alumni, churches, organizations and local businesses throughout the Frederick community via Print@Hood.
